Visit Bridge Cottage
On the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen-diner with a stunning feature inglenook fireplace and rustic oak floorboards. An afternoon tea awaits you on arrival, with a choice of delicious, local cakes. The Farrow and Ball painted kitchen contains everything you will need for your stay, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Across the wooden panelled hallway is a cosy and comfortable sitting room with a TV and DVD player. There are shutters at the window and a wood burning stove, complete will a supply of logs during the winter months, so you can enjoy warm evenings in front of the fire.
You will find plenty of books, magazines, DVDs and games throughout the cottage.
Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms, one twin and one double, with wooden double-glazed sash windows. Relax in the romantic master bedroom complete with antique French bed, painted furniture and vintage chandelier. Make use of the multi-function, clock-radio IPod dock with its nature sounds to gently fall asleep or wake up to. The pretty twin bedroom has two iron beds and a lovely Victorian fireplace. For your convenience, hairdryers are supplied in each room. A travel cot can also be made available on request, but please bring your own cot bedding.
The traditional style family bathroom has a fixed rain head shower over the bath, rustic oak floorboards and heated towel rail.
We want you to sleep comfortably and so we have provided high quality mattresses and bedding in all rooms. All the duvets and pillows are non-allergenic, premium hollow-fibre, supplied by The White Company; with a choice of medium-soft or medium-hard pillows in each room. Enjoy the luxurious, 100% cotton bed linen, along with fluffy towels and bath robes. A complimentary assortment of White Company toiletries are provided for both adult guests and smaller members of the family.
We want each guest to enjoy Bridge Cottage from the moment they arrive. Every effort has been made to make your stay a truly memorable one. So that you don’t feel rushed on your day of arrival or departure, you are welcome to arrive at Bridge Cottage from 4pm and depart by 11am – we will do our very best to accommodate a later departure, but due to the popularity of the cottage this isn’t always possible.
Whilst there is no private parking at Bridge cottage, free parking is available in the streets around the cottage. Alternatively, there is a public pay and display car park a few minute’s walk away.
